Proficy Historian Fundamentals (345)

The Proficy Historian Fundamentals course is designed to provide the student with a good working knowledge of Proficy Historian. Topics include both an administrative focus for server-based tasks as well as development focus for the client-based reporting tasks. The course includes lab time for building skills essential to developing and maintaining the Proficy Historian in a process environment.

Proficy Plant Applications Fundamentals (367)

Proficy Plant Applications Fundamentals will teach the student how to configure and maintain Plant Applications software. This course provides an entry-level introduction to fundamental Plant Applications capabilities and applications. This includes learning to configure the Plant Model, Products, Production Events, Variables, User Displays and User Security. Students will also be taught Report Server Administration and Web Client functionality, how to extract data from the Plant Applications database using the Excel Add-In and display results through the Plant Applications Web interface. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the configuration of the out-of-the-box capabilities of Proficy Plant Applications.

Proficy Plant Applications Efficiency (368)

Proficy Plant Applications Efficiency training will teach the student how to configure the Plant Applications software to produce Efficiency related metrics for their plant environment. This course provides an introduction to the concept of Efficiency Management and Overall Equipment Effectiveness. This includes learning to configure Downtime, Waste and Production Metrics (OEE). Students will also be taught how to utilize captured Plant Applications data in web enabled analytical tools to explore the why, what and when that impacts manufacturing efficiency. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the configuration of the out-of-the-box capabilities of the Proficy Plant Applications Efficiency Module.

Proficy Plant Applications Quality (369)

Proficy Plant Applications Quality classroom training will teach the student how to configure the Plant Applications software to capture precise specifications of a product run, and manage the quality of all raw materials, in-process products and finished goods. This course provides an introduction to the concept of Specification Management and how the relationship of products with specifications can streamline the process of maintaining product information. This includes learning to configure site specific and equipment specific product specifications, Alarm conditions, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis tools. Students will also be taught how to utilize captured Plant Applications data in web enabled analytical tools to expose product relationships for analysis and troubleshooting, and to measure variation in the plant manufacturing process. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided which guide students through the configuration of the out-of-the-box capabilities of the Proficy Plant Applications Quality Module.

iFIX Advanced Development concentrates on the skills and knowledge required to extend the core functionality of iFIX.  In addition, there are a range of topics that discuss the integration of iFIX applications with external systems such as historians, relational databases, office and reporting applications as well as other automation applications.

Using VBA with Proficy iFIX (354)

The Using VBA with iFIX course is designed for those who wish to acquire a basic knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) within iFIX. This knowledge will allow the student to generate VBA based solutions for their special system requirements. The course begins with an introduction to VBA and why VBA is so important in today's applications. Lectures, coding examples, and labs are included in this course on the important aspects of VBA, as well as reference to Visual Basic syntax. This course will demonstrate to the student how to enhance runtime operation to solve special problems.

The Proficy HMI/SCADA CIMPLICITY Advanced course introduces students to configuration of clients and servers, OPC client and server, server redundancy, classes and objects, Web View, and Recipes. Students will also look at CIMPLICITY SQL, ODBC basics, CimEdit scripting, and advanced features in trending. Controller Programming - Logic Developer PLC (333)

The Proficy Logic Developer Machine Edition (PLC for 90/30, 90/70,VersaMax, RX7i and RX3i) course familiarizes the student with the control logic development tool suite used to program the entire family of GE Intelligent Platforms industrial control hardware. Emphasis is given to understanding and operating in the development environment, understanding the available logic development options, generating programs using the ladder logic language option and communicating with control target(s) (90/30, 90/70, VersaMax, RX7i and RX3i PLCs). An experienced instructor is provided to guide the student using demonstrations and hands on lab exercises so they are prepared to develop control solutions.

Operator Interface Programming - QuickPanel & View (339)

This course familiarizes the student with operating in the Proficy View Machine Edition development environment, the QuickPanel+ machine level operator interface, creating operator interface graphical panels, writing scripts, configuring alarm & logging schemes, and running Projects on the operator interface device. Students are also introduced to the built-in Data Historian, Web Publishing, and Web Documents. An experienced instructor guides the student using demonstrations and hands on lab exercises.

Controller Maintenance - Logic Developer PLC (402)

The GE Intelligent Platforms PLC Maintenance course provides the student with the skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair faults in GE Intelligent Platforms programmable logic controllers (90-30, 90-70, VersaMax, RX7i and RX3i). The class is taught using Logic Developer PLC software, which is part of the Machine Edition family of products. The focus of this course is teaching students how to interpret existing ladder logic programs for troubleshooting purposes. Students are also taught how to use the troubleshooting tools within the software to determine where faults have occurred and how to correct them.

PACSystems Programming (426)

The PACSystems Programming course familiarizes students with GE Fanuc PACSystems Controller programming concepts and Proficy Machine Edition software. Starting with the PACSystems software architecture, students are taught how to effectively develop control applications using building block concepts. This course builds on Object-Oriented concepts with User-Defined Function Blocks (UDFBs), as well as the development of application components using Structured Text (ST) and Function Block Diagram (FBD) programming languages.
